हाहाकारो महानासीद्रोदस्योः सर्वतोदिशम् । निगृह्यमाणेऽसुरपतौ विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना ।। ८-२१-२७ ।।

sanskrit

When Bali Mahārāja was thus arrested by Lord Viṣṇu, who is the most powerful, there was a great roar of lamentation in all directions throughout the upper and lower planetary systems of the universe. ।। 8-21-27 ।‌।

english translation

जब बलि महाराज परम शक्तिशाली भगवान् विष्णु द्वारा इस प्रकार बन्दी बना लिये गये तो ब्रह्माण्ड के अधो तथा ऊर्ध्व लोकों की समस्त दिशाओं में विलाप का आर्तनाद हुआ। ।। ८-२१-२७ ।।
