बलिरुवाच अहो ब्राह्मणदायाद वाचस्ते वृद्धसम्मताः । त्वं बालो बालिशमतिः स्वार्थं प्रत्यबुधो यथा ।। ८-१९-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Bali Mahārāja said: O son of a brāhmaṇa, Your instructions are as good as those of learned and elderly persons. Nonetheless, You are a boy, and Your intelligence is insufficient. Thus You are not very prudent in regard to Your self-interest. ।। 8-19-18 ।।

english translation

बलि महाराज ने कहा : हे ब्राह्मण पुत्र! तुम्हारे उपदेश विद्वान तथा वयोवृद्ध पुरुषों जैसे हैं। तो भी अभी तुम बालक हो और तुम्हारी बुद्धि अल्प है। अतएव तुम्हें अपने हित का पूरी तरह ज्ञान नहीं है। ।। ८-१९-१८ ।।

baliruvAca aho brAhmaNadAyAda vAcaste vRddhasammatAH | tvaM bAlo bAlizamatiH svArthaM pratyabudho yathA || 8-19-18 ||
