तदिदं कालरशनं जनाः पश्यन्ति सूरयः । न हृष्यन्ति न शोचन्ति तत्र यूयमपण्डिताः ॥ ८-११-८ ॥
Seeing the movements of time, those who are cognizant of the real truth neither rejoice nor lament for different circumstances. Therefore, because you are jubilant due to your victory, you should be considered not very learned. ॥ 8-11-8 ॥

काल की गतियों को देखकर, जो लोग वास्तविक सत्य से अवगत हैं, वे विभिन्न परिस्थितियों के लिए न तो हर्षित होते हैं, न सोचते हैं। चूँकि तुम लोग अपनी विजय पर हर्षित हो अत: तुम्हें अत्यन्त विद्वान नहीं कहा जा सकता। ॥ ८-११-८ ॥
