कबन्धास्तत्र चोत्पेतुः पतितस्वशिरोऽक्षिभिः । उद्यतायुधदोर्दण्डैराधावन्तो भटान् मृधे ।। ८-१०-४० ।।

sanskrit

Many headless trunks were generated on that battlefield. With weapons in their arms, those ghostly trunks, which could see with the eyes in the fallen heads, attacked the enemy soldiers. ।। 8-10-40 ।।

english translation

उस युद्धभूमि में शीषरहित अनेक धड़ उत्पन्न हो गए थे। वे प्रेततुल्य धड़ अपने हाथों में हथियार लिए, पड़े हुए सिरों की आँखों से देखकर शत्रु सैनिकों पर आक्रमण कर रहे थे। ।। ८-१०-४० ।।
