एकः प्रपद्यते ध्वान्तं हित्वेदं स्वकलेवरम् । कुशलेतरपाथेयो भूतद्रोहेण यद्भृतम् ।। ३-३०-३१ ।।

sanskrit

He goes alone to the darkest regions of hell after quitting the present body, and the money he acquired by envying other living entities is the passage money with which he leaves this world.।। 3-30-31 ।।

english translation

इस शरीर को त्याग कर वह अकेला नरक के अंधतम भागों में जाता है और अन्य जीवों के साथ ईर्ष्या करके उसने जो धन कमाया था वही पाथेय के रूप में उसके साथ जाता है। ।। ३-३०-३१ ।।

दैवेनासादितं तस्य शमलं निरये पुमान् । भुङ्क्ते कुटुम्बपोषस्य हृतवित्त इवातुरः ।। ३-३०-३२ ।।

sanskrit

Thus, by the arrangement of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the maintainer of kinsmen is put into a hellish condition to suffer for his sinful activities, like a man who has lost his wealth. ।। 3-30-32 ।।

english translation

इस प्रकार भगवान् की व्यवस्था से, परिवार का पोषणकर्ता अपने पापकर्मों को भोगने के लिए नारकीय अवस्था में रखा जाता है मानो उसकी सारी सम्पत्ति लुट गई हो। ।। ३-३०-३२ ।।

Therefore a person who is very eager to maintain his family and kinsmen simply by black methods certainly goes to the darkest region of hell, which is known as Andha-tāmisra. ।। 3-30-33 ।।

english translation

अत: जो व्यक्ति केवल कुत्सित साधनों से अपने परिवार तथा कुटुम्बियों का पालन करने के लिए लालायित रहता है, वह निश्चय ही अन्धतामिस्र नामक गहनतम नरक में जाता है। ।। ३-३०-३३ ।।

अधस्तान्नरलोकस्य यावतीर्यातनादयः । क्रमशः समनुक्रम्य पुनरत्राव्रजेच्छुचिः ।। ३-३०-३४ ।।

Having gone through all the miserable, hellish conditions and having passed in a regular order through the lowest forms of animal life prior to human birth, and having thus been purged of his sins, one is reborn again as a human being on this earth. ।। 3-30-34 ।।

english translation

समस्त कष्टकर नारकीय परिस्थितियों से तथा मनुष्य जन्म के पूर्व पशु-जीवन के निम्नतम रूपों को क्रमश: पार करते हुए और इस प्रकार अपने पापों को भोगते हुए, वह इस पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य के रूप में पुन: जन्म लेता है। ।। ३-३०-३४ ।।
