प्रजापतेस्ते वचसाधीश तन्त्या लोकः किलायं कामहतोऽनुबद्धः । अहं च लोकानुगतो वहामि बलिं च शुक्लानिमिषाय तुभ्यम् ।। ३-२१-१६ ।।

sanskrit

O my Lord, You are the master and leader of all living entities. Under Your direction, all conditioned souls, as if bound by rope, are constantly engaged in satisfying their desires. Following them, O embodiment of religion, I also bear oblations for You, who are eternal time. ।। 3-21-16 ।।

english translation

हे भगवान्, आप समस्त जीवात्माओं के स्वामी तथा नायक हैं। आपके आदेश से सभी बद्धजीव मानो डोरी से बँधकर अपनी-अपनी इच्छाओं की तुष्टि में निरन्तर लगे रहते हैं। उन्हीं का अनुसरण करते हुए, हे धर्ममूर्ते, शाश्वत काल रूप आपको मैं भी अपनी आहुति (बलि) अर्पण करता हूँ। ।। ३-२१-१६ ।।

लोकांश्च लोकानुगतान् पशूंश्च हित्वा श्रितास्ते चरणातपत्रम् । परस्परं त्वद्गुणवादसीधुपीयूषनिर्यापितदेहधर्माः ।। ३-२१-१७ ।।

sanskrit

However, persons who have given up stereotyped worldly affairs and the beastly followers of these affairs, and who have taken shelter of the umbrella of Your lotus feet by drinking the intoxicating nectar of Your qualities and activities in discussions with one another, can be freed from the primary necessities of the material body. ।। 3-21-17 ।।

english translation

फिर भी जिन पुरुषों ने रूढ़ सांसारिकता तथा इनके पशुतुल्य अनुयायियों का परित्याग कर दिया है और जिन्होंने परस्पर विचार-विनिमय के द्वारा आपके गुणों तथा कार्यकलापों के मादक अमृत (सुधा) का पान करके आपके चरण-कमलों की छत्र छाया ग्रहण की है वे भौतिक देह की मूल आवश्यकताओं से मुक्त हो सकते हैं। ।। ३-२१-१७ ।।

न तेऽजराक्षभ्रमिरायुरेषां त्रयोदशारं त्रिशतं षष्टिपर्व । षण्नेम्यनन्तच्छदि यत्त्रिणाभिकरालस्रोतो जगदाच्छिद्य धावत् ।। ३-२१-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Your wheel, which has three naves, rotates around the axis of the imperishable Brahman. It has thirteen spokes, 360 joints, six rims and numberless leaves carved upon it. Though its revolution cuts short the life span of the entire creation, this wheel of tremendous velocity cannot touch the life span of the devotees of the Lord. ।। 3-21-18 ।।

english translation

आपका तीन नाभिवाला (काल) चक्र अमर ब्रह्म की धुरी के चारों ओर घूम रहा है। इसमें तेरह तीलियाँ (अरे), ३६० जोड़, छह परिधियाँ तथा उस पर अनन्त पत्तियाँ (पत्तर) पिरोयी हुई हैं। यद्यपि इसके घूमने से सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि की जीवन-अवधि घट जाती है, किन्तु यह प्रचण्ड वेगवान् चक्र भगवान् के भक्तों की आयु का स्पर्श नहीं कर सकता। ।। ३-२१-१८ ।।

एकः स्वयं सन् जगतः सिसृक्षया द्वितीययाऽऽत्मन्नधियोगमायया । सृजस्यदः पासि पुनर्ग्रसिष्यसे यथोर्णनाभिर्भगवन् स्वशक्तिभिः ।। ३-२१-१९ ।।

My dear Lord, You alone create the universes. O Personality of Godhead, desiring to create these universes, You create them, maintain them and again wind them up by Your own energies, which are under the control of Your second energy, called yoga-māyā, just as a spider creates a cobweb by its own energy and again winds it up. ।। 3-21-19 ।।

english translation

हे भगवान्, आप अकेले ही ब्रह्माण्डों की सृष्टि करते हैं। हे श्रीभगवान्, इन ब्रह्माण्डों की सृष्टि करने की इच्छा से, आप उनकी सृष्टि करते, उन्हें पालते और फिर अपनी शक्तियों से उनका अन्त कर देते हैं। ये शक्तियाँ आपकी दूसरी शक्ति योगमाया के अधीन हैं, जिस प्रकार एक मकड़ी अपनी शक्ति से जाला बुनती है और पुन: उसे निगल जाती है। ।। ३-२१-१९ ।।

नैतद्बताधीश पदं तवेप्सितं यन्मायया नस्तनुषे भूतसूक्ष्मम् । अनुग्रहायास्त्वपि यर्हि मायया लसत्तुलस्या तनुवा विलक्षितः ।। ३-२१-२० ।।

My dear Lord, although it is not Your desire, You manifest this creation of gross and subtle elements just for our sensual satisfaction. Let Your causeless mercy be upon us, for You have appeared before us in Your eternal form, adorned with a splendid wreath of tulasī leaves. ।। 3-21-20 ।।

english translation

हे भगवान्, इच्छा के न होते हुए भी आप स्थूल तथा सूक्ष्म तत्त्वों की इस सृष्टि को हमारी ऐन्द्रिय तुष्टि के लिए प्रकट करते हैं। आपकी अहैतुकी कृपा हमें प्राप्त हो, क्योंकि आप अपने नित्य रूप में तुलसीदल की माला से विभूषित होकर हमारे समक्ष प्रकट हुए हैं। ।। ३-२१-२० ।।
