त्रिविधाकृतयस्तस्य राक्षसा असुराः सुराः । गुणिन्या मायया सृष्टाः सत्त्वं तत्तीर्थसाधनम् ।। १०-८९-१९ ।।

sanskrit

The Lord expands into three kinds of manifest beings — the Rākṣasas, the demons and the demigods — all of whom are created by the Lord’s material energy and conditioned by her modes. But among these three modes, it is the mode of goodness which is the means of attaining life’s final success. ।। 10-89-19 ।।

english translation

भगवान तीन प्रकार के प्रकट प्राणियों में विस्तारित होते हैं - राक्षस, राक्षस और देवता - ये सभी भगवान की भौतिक ऊर्जा द्वारा निर्मित और उनके गुणों द्वारा अनुकूलित होते हैं। लेकिन इन तीन गुणों में से सतोगुण ही जीवन की अंतिम सफलता प्राप्त करने का साधन है। ।। १०-८९-१९ ।।
