निरुध्य सेनया शाल्वो महत्या भरतर्षभ । पुरीं बभञ्जोपवनान्युद्यानानि च सर्वशः ॥ १०-७६-९ ॥

Śālva besieged the city with a large army, O best of the Bharatas, decimating the outlying parks and gardens, the mansions along with their observatories, ॥ 10-76-9 ॥

english translation

हे भरतश्रेष्ठ, शाल्व ने एक बड़ी सेना के साथ नगर को घेर लिया और दूरस्थ उद्यानों, उद्यानों, वेधशालाओं सहित भवनों को नष्ट कर दिया। ॥ १०-७६-९ ॥
