ईशो दुरत्ययः काल इति सत्यवती श्रुतिः । वृद्धानामपि यद्बुद्धिर्बालवाक्यैर्विभिद्यते ॥ १०-७४-३१ ॥
[Śiśupāla said:] The statement of the Vedas that time is the unavoidable controller of all has indeed been proven true, since the intelligence of wise elders has now become diverted by the words of a mere boy. ॥ 10-74-31 ॥

[शिशुपाल ने कहा:] वेदों का यह कथन कि समय सभी का अपरिहार्य नियंत्रक है, वास्तव में सत्य साबित हुआ है, क्योंकि बुद्धिमान बुजुर्गों की बुद्धि अब एक मात्र लड़के के शब्दों से विचलित हो गई है। ॥ १०-७४-३१ ॥
