ततः समे खले वीरौ संयुक्तावितरेतरौ । जघ्नतुर्वज्रकल्पाभ्यां गदाभ्यां रणदुर्मदौ ॥ १०-७२-३४ ॥

The two heroes thus began battling each other on the level fighting grounds outside the city. Maddened with the fury of combat, they struck each other with their lightning-bolt-like clubs. ॥ 10-72-34 ॥

english translation

इस प्रकार दोनों नायक शहर के बाहर समतल युद्ध के मैदान में एक-दूसरे से लड़ने लगे। युद्ध के क्रोध से व्याकुल होकर, उन्होंने एक-दूसरे पर अपनी बिजली जैसी गदाओं से प्रहार किया। ॥ १०-७२-३४ ॥
