यस्यामलं दिवि यशः प्रथितं रसायां भूमौ च ते भुवनमङ्गल दिग्वितानम् । मन्दाकिनीति दिवि भोगवतीति चाधो गङ्गेति चेह चरणाम्बु पुनाति विश्वम् ॥ १०-७०-४४ ॥
My dear Lord, You are the symbol of everything auspicious. Your transcendental name and fame is spread like a canopy all over the universe, including the higher, middle and lower planetary systems. The transcendental water that washes Your lotus feet is known in the higher planetary systems as the Mandākinī River, in the lower planetary systems as the Bhogavatī and in this earthly planetary system as the Ganges. This sacred, transcendental water flows throughout the entire universe, purifying wherever it goes. ॥ 10-70-44 ॥

मेरे प्रिय भगवान, आप हर शुभ चीज़ के प्रतीक हैं। आपका दिव्य नाम और प्रसिद्धि उच्च, मध्यम और निम्न ग्रहों सहित पूरे ब्रह्मांड में एक छत्र की तरह फैली हुई है। आपके चरण कमलों को धोने वाला दिव्य जल उच्च ग्रह मंडल में मंदाकिनी नदी के रूप में, निम्न ग्रह मंडल में भोगवती के रूप में और इस सांसारिक ग्रह मंडल में गंगा के रूप में जाना जाता है। यह पवित्र, पारलौकिक जल पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड में बहता है, जहाँ भी जाता है शुद्ध कर देता है। ॥ १०-७०-४४ ॥
