तमश्मानं मन्यमान आत्मनो गुरुमत्तया । गले गृहीत उत्स्रष्टुं नाशक्नोदद्भुतार्भकम् ।। १०-७-२७ ।।

sanskrit

Because of Kṛṣṇa’s weight, Tṛṇāvarta considered Him to be like a great mountain or a hunk of iron. But because Kṛṣṇa had caught the demon’s neck, the demon was unable to throw Him off. He therefore thought of the child as wonderful, since he could neither bear the child nor cast aside the burden. ।। 10-7-27 ।।

english translation

कृष्ण के भार के कारण तृणावर्त उन्हें विशाल पर्वत या लोह का पिंड मान रहा था। किन्तु कृष्ण ने असुर की गर्दन पकड़ रखी थी इसलिए वह उन्हें फेंक नहीं पा रहा था। इसलिए उसने सोचा कि यह बालक अद्भुत है, जिसके कारण मैं न तो उसे ले जा सकता हूँ न ही इस भार को दूर फेंक सकता हूँ। ।। १०-७-२७ ।।
