किं कृत्वा साधु मह्यं स्यान्न शपेद्वा जनो यथा । अदीर्घदर्शनं क्षुद्रं मूढं द्रविणलोलुपम् ॥ १०-५६-४१ ॥
What can I do to regain my good fortune and avoid being cursed by the populace for being so short-sighted, miserly, foolish and avaricious? ॥ 10-56-41 ॥

मैं अपना सौभाग्य वापस पाने के लिए और जनता द्वारा अदूरदर्शी, कंजूस, मूर्ख और लालची होने के कारण शापित होने से बचने के लिए क्या कर सकता हूँ? ॥ १०-५६-४१ ॥

दास्ये दुहितरं तस्मै स्त्रीरत्नं रत्नमेव च । उपायोऽयं समीचीनस्तस्य शान्तिर्न चान्यथा ॥ १०-५६-४२ ॥
I shall give my daughter, the jewel of all women, to the Lord, together with the Syamantaka jewel. That, indeed, is the only proper way to pacify Him. ॥ 10-56-42 ॥

मैं स्यमंतक मणि के साथ-साथ अपनी पुत्री, सभी स्त्रियों का रत्न, भगवान को अर्पित कर दूँगा। वास्तव में, उनको शांत करने का यही एकमात्र उचित तरीका है। ॥ १०-५६-४२ ॥

एवं व्यवसितो बुद्ध्या सत्राजित्स्वसुतां शुभाम् । मणिं च स्वयमुद्यम्य कृष्णायोपजहार ह ॥ १०-५६-४३ ॥
Having thus intelligently made up his mind, King Satrājit personally arranged to present Lord Kṛṣṇa with his fair daughter and the Syamantaka jewel. ॥ 10-56-43 ॥

इस प्रकार बुद्धिमानी से अपना मन बना लेने के बाद, राजा सत्रजित ने व्यक्तिगत रूप से भगवान कृष्ण को अपनी गोरी बेटी और स्यमंतक मणि भेंट करने की व्यवस्था की। ॥ १०-५६-४३ ॥

तां सत्यभामां भगवानुपयेमे यथाविधि । बहुभिर्याचितां शीलरूपौदार्यगुणान्विताम् ॥ १०-५६-४४ ॥
The Lord married Satyabhāmā in proper religious fashion. Possessed of excellent behavior, along with beauty, broad-mindedness and all other good qualities, she had been sought by many men. ॥ 10-56-44 ॥

भगवान ने उचित धार्मिक रीति से सत्यभामा से विवाह किया। सुंदरता, व्यापक सोच और अन्य सभी अच्छे गुणों के साथ-साथ उत्कृष्ट व्यवहार की धनी, वह कई पुरुषों द्वारा चाही गई थी। ॥ १०-५६-४४ ॥

भगवानाह न मणिं प्रतीच्छामो वयं नृप । तवास्तां देवभक्तस्य वयं च फलभागिनः ॥ १०-५६-४५ ॥
The Supreme Personality of Godhead told Satrājit: We do not care to take this jewel back, O King. You are the sun-god’s devotee, so let it stay in your possession. Thus We will also enjoy its benefits. ॥ 10-56-45 ॥

भगवान के परम व्यक्तित्व ने सत्रजित से कहा: हे राजा, हमें इस रत्न को वापस लेने की कोई परवाह नहीं है। आप सूर्यदेव के भक्त हैं, अत: इसे अपने अधिकार में ही रहने दीजिये। इस प्रकार हम भी इसका लाभ उठा सकेंगे। ॥ १०-५६-४५ ॥
