स पिता सा च जननी यौ पुष्णीतां स्वपुत्रवत् । शिशून् बन्धुभिरुत्सृष्टानकल्पैः पोषरक्षणे ॥ १०-४५-२२ ॥

They are the real father and mother who care for, as they would their own sons, children abandoned by relatives unable to maintain and protect them. ॥ 10-45-22 ॥

english translation

वे ही असली माता-पिता हैं, जो पालन-पोषण और देख-रेख करने में असमर्थ सम्बन्धियों द्वारा परित्यक्त बालकों की देख-भाल अपने ही पुत्रों की तरह करते हैं। ॥ १०-४५-२२ ॥
