मूलं हि विष्णुर्देवानां यत्र धर्मः सनातनः । तस्य च ब्रह्मगोविप्रास्तपो यज्ञाः सदक्षिणाः ॥ १०-४-३९ ॥
The foundation of all the demigods is Lord Viṣṇu, who lives and is worshiped wherever there are religious principles, traditional culture, the Vedas, cows, brāhmaṇas, austerities, and sacrifices with proper remuneration. ॥ 10-4-39 ॥

समस्त देवताओं के आधार भगवान् विष्णु हैं जिनका वास वहीं होता है जहाँ धर्म, परम्परागत संस्कृति, वेद, गौवें, ब्राह्मण, तपस्या तथा दक्षिणायुत यज्ञ होते हैं। ॥ १०-४-३९ ॥
