मैतद्विधस्याकरुणस्य नाम भूदक्रूरैत्येतदतीव दारुणः । योऽसावनाश्वास्य सुदुःखितं जनं प्रियात्प्रियं नेष्यति पारमध्वनः ॥ १०-३९-२६ ॥
He who is doing this merciless deed should not be called Akrūra. He is so extremely cruel that without even trying to console the sorrowful residents of Vraja, he is taking away Kṛṣṇa, who is more dear to us than life itself. ॥ 10-39-26 ॥
english translation
जो ऐसा निर्दय कार्य कर रहा हो उसे अक्रूर नहीं कहलाया जाना चाहिए। वह इतना क्रूर है कि व्रज के दुखी निवासियों को धीरज धराने का प्रयास किए बिना ही उस कृष्ण को लिये जा रहा है, जो हमारे प्राणों से भी हमें अधिक प्रिय है। ॥ १०-३९-२६ ॥
