योऽवधीत्स्वस्वसुस्तोकान् क्रोशन्त्या असुतृप् खलः । किं नु स्वित्तत्प्रजानां वः कुशलं विमृशामहे ॥ १०-३८-४२ ॥
That cruel, self-serving Kaṁsa murdered the infants of his own sister in her presence, even as she cried in anguish. So why should we even ask about the well-being of you, his subjects? ॥ 10-38-42 ॥
english translation
उस क्रूर स्वार्थी कंस ने अपनी बिलखती हुई दुखित बहन की उपस्थिति में ही उसके बच्चों को मार डाला। तो फिर हम तुमसे, जो कि उनकी प्रजा हो, कुशलता के विषय में पूछ ही क्या सकते हैं? ॥ १०-३८-४२ ॥
