अदृष्ट्वान्यतमं लोके शीलौदार्यगुणैः समम् । अहं सुतो वामभवं पृश्निगर्भ इति श्रुतः ॥ १०-३-४१ ॥
Since I found no one else as highly elevated as you in simplicity and other qualities of good character, I appeared in this world as Pṛśnigarbha, or one who is celebrated as having taken birth from Pṛśni. ॥ 10-3-41 ॥

चूँकि मुझे सरलता तथा शील के दूसरे गुणों में तुम जैसा बढ़ा-चढ़ा अन्य कोई व्यक्ति नहीं मिला अत: मैं पृश्नि-गर्भ के रूप में उत्पन्न हुआ। ॥ १०-३-४१ ॥

तयोर्वां पुनरेवाहमदित्यामास कश्यपात् । उपेन्द्र इति विख्यातो वामनत्वाच्च वामनः ॥ १०-३-४२ ॥
In the next millennium, I again appeared from the two of you, who appeared as My mother, Aditi, and My father, Kaśyapa. I was known as Upendra, and because of being a dwarf, I was also known as Vāmana. ॥ 10-3-42 ॥

मैं अगले युग में तुम दोनों से, माता अदिति तथा पिता कश्यप से पुन: प्रकट हुआ। मैं उपेन्द्र नाम से विख्यात हुआ और बौना होने के कारण मैं वामन भी कहलाया। ॥ १०-३-४२ ॥

तृतीयेऽस्मिन् भवेऽहं वै तेनैव वपुषाथ वाम् । जातो भूयस्तयोरेव सत्यं मे व्याहृतं सति ॥ १०-३-४३ ॥
O supremely chaste mother, I, the same personality, have now appeared of you both as your son for the third time. Take My words as the truth. ॥ 10-3-43 ॥

हे परम सती माता, मैं वही व्यक्ति अब तीसरी बार तुम दोनों के पुत्र रूप में प्रकट हुआ हूँ। मेरे वचनों को सत्य मानें। ॥ १०-३-४३ ॥

एतद्वां दर्शितं रूपं प्राग्जन्मस्मरणाय मे । नान्यथा मद्भवं ज्ञानं मर्त्यलिङ्गेन जायते ॥ १०-३-४४ ॥
I have shown you this form of Viṣṇu just to remind you of My previous births. Otherwise, if I appeared like an ordinary human child, you would not believe that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu, has indeed appeared. ॥ 10-3-44 ॥

मैंने तुम लोगों को यह विष्णु-रूप मात्र अपने पूर्वजन्मों का स्मरण कराने के लिए दिखलाया है। अन्यथा यदि मैं सामान्य बालक की तरह प्रकट होता तो तुम लोगों को विश्वास न हो पाता कि भगवान् विष्णु सचमुच प्रकट हुए हैं। ॥ १०-३-४४ ॥

युवां मां पुत्रभावेन ब्रह्मभावेन चासकृत् । चिन्तयन्तौ कृतस्नेहौ यास्येथे मद्गतिं पराम् ॥ १०-३-४५ ॥
Both of you, husband and wife, constantly think of Me as your son, but always know that I am the Supreme Personality of Godhead. By thus thinking of Me constantly with love and affection, you will achieve the highest perfection: returning home, back to Godhead. ॥ 10-3-45 ॥
english translation
तुम पति-पत्नी निरन्तर अपने पुत्र के रूप में मेरा चिन्तन करते हो, किन्तु तुम यह जानते रहते हो कि मैं भगवान् हूँ। इस तरह निरन्तर स्नेहपूर्वक मेरा चिन्तन करते हुए तुम लोग सर्वोच्च सिद्धि प्राप्त करोगे अर्थात् भगवद्धाम वापस जाओगे। ॥ १०-३-४५ ॥
