श्रीशुक उवाच गोवर्धने धृते शैले आसाराद्रक्षिते व्रजे । गोलोकादाव्रजत्कृष्णं सुरभिः शक्र एव च ॥ १०-२७-१ ॥
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: After Kṛṣṇa had lifted Govardhana Hill and thus protected the inhabitants of Vraja from the terrible rainfall, Surabhi, the mother of the cows, came from her planet to see Kṛṣṇa. She was accompanied by Indra. ॥ 10-27-1 ॥
english translation
शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा : कृष्ण के गोवर्धन पर्वत उठाने तथा भयंकर वर्षा से व्रजवासियों की रक्षा करने के बाद गौवों की माता सुरभि गो-लोक से कृष्ण का दर्शन करने आईं। उनके साथ इन्द्र था। ॥ १०-२७-१ ॥
