श्रीभगवानुवाच कर्मणा जायते जन्तुः कर्मणैव विलीयते । सुखं दुःखं भयं क्षेमं कर्मणैवाभिपद्यते ॥ १०-२४-१३ ॥
Lord Kṛṣṇa said: It is by the force of karma that a living entity takes birth, and it is by karma alone that he meets his destruction. His happiness, distress, fear and sense of security all arise as the effects of karma. ॥ 10-24-13 ॥
english translation
भगवान् कृष्ण ने कहा : कर्म से ही जीव जन्म लेता है और कर्म से ही उसका विनाश होता है। उसके सुख, दुख, भय तथा सुरक्षा की भावना का उदय कर्म के प्रभावों के रूप में होता है। ॥ १०-२४-१३ ॥
