नासां द्विजातिसंस्कारो न निवासो गुरावपि । न तपो नात्ममीमांसा न शौचं न क्रियाः शुभाः ॥ १०-२३-४२ ॥

These women have never undergone the purificatory rites of the twice-born classes, nor have they lived as brahmacārīs in the āśrama of a spiritual master, nor have they executed austerities, speculated on the nature of the self, followed the formalities of cleanliness or engaged in pious rituals. ॥ 10-23-42 ॥

english translation

इन स्त्रियों ने न तो द्विजों के शुद्धीकरण संस्कार कराये हैं, न ही किसी आध्यात्मिक गुरु के आश्रम में ब्रह्मचारियों का जीवन बिताया है, न इन्होंने कोई तपस्या की है या आत्मा के विषय में मनन किया है या स्वच्छता की औपचारिकताओं का निर्वाह अथवा पावन अनुष्ठानों में अपने को लगाया है। ॥ १०-२३-४२ ॥
