दृष्ट्वाऽऽतपे व्रजपशून् सह रामगोपैः सञ्चारयन्तमनु वेणुमुदीरयन्तम् । प्रेमप्रवृद्ध उदितः कुसुमावलीभिः सख्युर्व्यधात्स्ववपुषाम्बुद आतपत्रम् ।। १०-२१-१६ ।।

In the company of Balarāma and the cowherd boys, Lord Kṛṣṇa is continually vibrating His flute as He herds all the animals of Vraja, even under the full heat of the summer sun. Seeing this, the cloud in the sky has expanded himself out of love. He is rising high and constructing out of his own body, with its multitude of flower-like droplets of water, an umbrella for the sake of his friend. ।। 10-21-16 ।।

english translation

भगवान् कृष्ण बलराम तथा ग्वालबालों के संग में व्रज के समस्त पशुओं को चराते हुए ग्रीष्म की कड़ी धूप में भी निरन्तर अपनी बाँसुरी बजाते रहते हैं। यह देखकर आकाश के बादल ने प्रेमवश अपने को फैला लिया है। ऊँचे उठकर तथा फूल जैसी असंख्य जल की बूँदों से उसने अपने मित्र के लिए अपने ही शरीर को छाता बना लिया है। ।। १०-२१-१६ ।।
