स्वयं समुत्तीर्य सुदुस्तरं द्युमन् भवार्णवं भीममदभ्रसौहृदाः । भवत्पदाम्भोरुहनावमत्र ते निधाय याताः सदनुग्रहो भवान् ।। १०-२-३१ ।।

sanskrit

O Lord, who resemble the shining sun, You are always ready to fulfill the desire of Your devotee, and therefore You are known as a desire tree [vāñchā-kalpataru]. When ācāryas completely take shelter under Your lotus feet in order to cross the fierce ocean of nescience, they leave behind on earth the method by which they cross, and because You are very merciful to Your other devotees, You accept this method to help them. ।। 10-2-31 ।।

english translation

हे द्युतिपूर्ण प्रभु, आप अपने भक्तों की इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए सदा तैयार रहते हैं इसीलिए आप वांछा-कल्पतरु कहलाते हैं। जब आचार्यगण अज्ञान के भयावह भवसागर को तरने के लिए आपके चरणकमलों की शरण ग्रहण करते हैं, तो वे अपने पीछे अपनी वह विधि छोड़े जाते हैं जिससे वे पार करते हैं। चूँकि आप अपने अन्य भक्तों पर अत्यन्त कृपालु रहते हैं अतएव उनकी सहायता करने के लिए आप इस विधि को स्वीकार करते हैं। ।। १०-२-३१ ।।
