Srimad Bhagavatam
विप्रुष्मता विषोदोर्मिमारुतेनाभिमर्शिताः । म्रियन्ते तीरगा यस्य प्राणिनः स्थिरजङ्गमाः ॥ १०-१६-५ ॥
The wind blowing over that deadly lake carried droplets of water to the shore. Simply by coming in contact with that poisonous breeze, all vegetation and creatures on the shore died. ॥ 10-16-5 ॥
english translation
उस घातक सरोवर के ऊपर से बहने वाली हवा जल की बूँदों को तट तक ले जाती थी। उस विषैली वायु के सम्पर्क में आने से ही तट की सारी वनस्पति तथा जीवजन्तु मर जाते थे। ॥ १०-१६-५ ॥
