कृष्णस्य गर्भजगतोऽतिभरावसन्नं पार्ष्णिप्रहारपरिरुग्णफणातपत्रम् । दृष्ट्वाहिमाद्यमुपसेदुरमुष्य पत्न्य आर्ताः श्लथद्वसनभूषणकेशबन्धाः ।। १०-१६-३१ ।।

When Kāliya’s wives saw how the serpent had become so fatigued from the excessive weight of Lord Kṛṣṇa, who carries the entire universe in His abdomen, and how Kāliya’s umbrellalike hoods had been shattered by the striking of Kṛṣṇa’s heels, they felt great distress. With their clothing, ornaments and hair scattered in disarray, they then approached the eternal Personality of Godhead. ।। 10-16-31 ।।

english translation

जब कालिय की पत्नियों ने देखा कि अखिल ब्रह्माण्ड को अपने उदर में धारण करनेवाले भगवान् कृष्ण के अत्यधिक भार से सर्प कितना थक गया है और किस तरह कृष्ण की एडियों के प्रहार से कालिय के छाते जैसे फन छिन्न-भिन्न हो गये हैं, तो उन्हें अतीव पीड़ा हुई। तब अपने वस्त्र, आभूषण तथा केश बिखराये हुए वे आदि भगवान् के निकट आईं। ।। १०-१६-३१ ।।
