तद्राजेन्द्र यथा स्नेहः स्वस्वकात्मनि देहिनाम् । न तथा ममतालम्बिपुत्रवित्तगृहादिषु ॥ १०-१४-५१ ॥

For this reason, O best of kings, the embodied soul is self-centered: he is more attached to his own body and self than to his so-called possessions like children, wealth and home. ॥ 10-14-51 ॥

english translation

अतएव इसीलिए हे राजाओं में श्रेष्ठ, देहधारी जीव आत्मकेन्द्रित होता है। वह सन्तान, धन तथा घर इत्यादि वस्तुओं की अपेक्षा अपने शरीर तथा अपनी ओर अधिक आसक्त होता है। ॥ १०-१४-५१ ॥
