तावद्रागादयः स्तेनास्तावत्कारागृहं गृहम् । तावन्मोहोऽङ्घ्रिनिगडो यावत्कृष्ण न ते जनाः ।। १०-१४-३६ ।।

sanskrit

My dear Lord Kṛṣṇa, until people become Your devotees, their material attachments and desires remain thieves, their homes remain prisons, and their affectionate feelings for their family members remain foot-shackles. ।। 10-14-36 ।।

english translation

हे भगवान् कृष्ण, जब तक लोग आपके भक्त नहीं बन जाते तब तक उनकी भौतिक आसक्तियाँ तथा इच्छाएँ चोर बनी रहती हैं; उनके घर बन्दीगृह बने रहते हैं और अपने परिजनों के प्रति उनकी स्नेहपूर्ण भावनाएँ पाँवों की बेडिय़ाँ बनी रहती हैं। ।। १०-१४-३६ ।।

My dear master, although You have nothing to do with material existence, You come to this earth and imitate material life just to expand the varieties of ecstatic enjoyment for Your surrendered devotees. ।। 10-14-37 ।।

english translation

हे स्वामी, यद्यपि भौतिक जगत से आपको कुछ भी लेना-देना नहीं रहता किन्तु आप इस धरा पर आकर अपने शरणागत भक्तों के लिए आनन्द-भाव की विविधताओं को विस्तृत करने के लिए भौतिक जीवन का अनुकरण करते हैं। ।। १०-१४-३७ ।।

There are people who say, “I know everything about Kṛṣṇa.” Let them think that way. As far as I am concerned, I do not wish to speak very much about this matter. O my Lord, let me say this much: As far as Your opulences are concerned, they are all beyond the reach of my mind, body and words. ।। 10-14-38 ।।

english translation

ऐसे लोग भी हैं, जो यह कहते हैं कि वे कृष्ण के विषय में सब कुछ जानते हैं—वे ऐसा सोचा करें। किन्तु जहाँ तक मेरा सम्बन्ध है, मैं इस विषय में कुछ अधिक नहीं कहना चाहता। हे प्रभु, मैं तो इतना ही कहूँगा कि जहाँ तक आपके ऐश्वर्यों की बात है वे मेरे मन, शरीर तथा शब्दों की पहुँच से बाहर हैं। ।। १०-१४-३८ ।।

हे कृष्ण, अब मैं आपसे विदा लेने की अनुमति के लिए विनीत भाव से अनुरोध करता हूँ। वास्तव में आप सारी वस्तुओं के ज्ञाता तथा द्रष्टा हैं। आप समस्त ब्रह्माण्डों के स्वामी हैं फिर भी मैं आपको यह एक ब्रह्माण्ड अर्पित करता हूँ। ।। १०-१४-३९ ।।

My dear Śrī Kṛṣṇa, You bestow happiness upon the lotuslike Vṛṣṇi dynasty and expand the great oceans consisting of the earth, the demigods, the brāhmaṇas and the cows. You dispel the dense darkness of irreligion and oppose the demons who have appeared on this earth. O Supreme Personality of Godhead, as long as this universe exists and as long as the sun shines, I will offer my obeisances unto You. ।। 10-14-40 ।।

english translation

हे कृष्ण, आप कमल तुल्य वृष्णि कुल को सुख प्रदान करनेवाले हैं और पृथ्वी, देवता, ब्राह्मण तथा गौवों से युक्त महासागर को बढ़ाने वाले हैं। आप अधर्म के गहन अंधकार को दूर करते हैं और इस पृथ्वी में प्रकट हुए असुरों का विरोध करते हैं। हे भगवन्, जब तक यह ब्रह्माण्ड बना रहेगा और जब तक सूर्य चमकेगा मैं आपको सादर नमस्कार करता रहूँगा। ।। १०-१४-४० ।।
