Srimad Bhagavatam
कालस्वभावसंस्कारकामकर्मगुणादिभिः । स्वमहिध्वस्तमहिभिर्मूर्तिमद्भिरुपासिताः ॥ १०-१३-५३ ॥
Then Lord Brahmā saw that kāla (the time factor), svabhāva (one’s own nature by association), saṁskāra (reformation), kāma (desire), karma (fruitive activity) and the guṇas (the three modes of material nature), their own independence being completely subordinate to the potency of the Lord, had all taken forms and were also worshiping those viṣṇu-mūrtis. ॥ 10-13-53 ॥
english translation
तब भगवान् ब्रह्मा ने देखा कि काल, स्वभाव, संस्कार, काम, कर्म तथा गुण—ये सभी अपनी स्वतंत्रता खो कर पूर्णतया भगवान् की शक्ति के अधीन होकर स्वरूप धारण किये हुए थे और उन विष्णु मूर्तियों की पूजा कर रहे थे। ॥ १०-१३-५३ ॥
