केचिद्वेणून् वादयन्तो ध्मान्तः शृङ्गाणि केचन । केचिद्भृङ्गैः प्रगायन्तः कूजन्तः कोकिलैः परे ॥ १०-१२-७ ॥
All the boys would be differently engaged. Some boys blew their flutes, and others blew bugles made of horn. Some imitated the buzzing of the bumblebees, and others imitated the voice of the cuckoo. ॥ 10-12-7 ॥

सारे बालक भिन्न भिन्न कार्यों में व्यस्त थे। कुछ अपनी बाँसुरियाँ बजा रहे थे, कुछ सींग का बिगुल बजा रहे थे। कुछ भौरों की गुंजार की नकल तो अन्य बालक कोयल की कुहू कुहू की नकल कर रहे थे। ॥ १०-१२-७ ॥
