तत्रोपनन्दनामाऽऽह गोपो ज्ञानवयोऽधिकः । देशकालार्थतत्त्वज्ञः प्रियकृद्रामकृष्णयोः ॥ १०-११-२२ ॥
At this meeting of all the inhabitants of Gokula, a cowherd man named Upananda, who was the most mature in age and knowledge and was very experienced according to time, circumstances and country, made this suggestion for the benefit of Rāma and Kṛṣṇa. ॥ 10-11-22 ॥

गोकुलवासियों की इस सभा में, उपानन्द नामक एक ग्वाले ने, जो आयु तथा ज्ञान में सर्वाधिक प्रौढ़ था और देश, काल तथा परिस्थिति के अनुसार अत्यधिक अनुभवी था, राम तथा कृष्ण के लाभ हेतु यह प्रस्ताव रखा। ॥ १०-११-२२ ॥
