एवं साधारणं देहमव्यक्तप्रभवाप्ययम् । को विद्वानात्मसात्कृत्वा हन्ति जन्तून् ऋतेऽसतः ।। १०-१०-१२ ।।

sanskrit

This body, after all, is produced by the unmanifested nature and again annihilated and merged in the natural elements. Therefore, it is the common property of everyone. Under the circumstances, who but a rascal claims this property as his own and while maintaining it commits such sinful activities as killing animals just to satisfy his whims? Unless one is a rascal, one cannot commit such sinful activities. ।। 10-10-12 ।।

english translation

यह शरीर आखिर अव्यक्त प्रकृति द्वारा उत्पन्न किया जाता है और नष्ट होकर पुन: प्राकृतिक तत्त्वों में विलीन हो जाता है। अतएव यह सबों का सर्वसामान्य गुण है। ऐसी परिस्थितियों में जो धूर्त होगा वही इस सम्पत्ति को अपनी होने का दावा करेगा और उसे बनाये रखते हुए अपनी इच्छाओं की तुष्टि के लिए पशुओं की हत्या जैसे पापकर्म करता रहता है। केवल मूढ़ ही ऐसे पापकर्म कर सकता है। ।। १०-१०-१२ ।।
