एवमुक्तो हनुमता रामो दशरथात्मज: । तं मणिं हृदये कृत्वा प्ररुरोद सलक्ष्मणः ॥ ५-६६-१
Thus addressed by Hanuman, Rama held the token (Chudamani) against his bosom and wept with Lakshmana. ॥ 5-66-1॥
english translation
evamukto hanumatA rAmo dazarathAtmaja: । taM maNiM hRdaye kRtvA praruroda salakSmaNaH ॥ 5-66-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं तु दृष्ट्वा मणिश्रेष्ठं राघव श्शोककर्शितः । नेत्राभ्यामश्रुपूर्णाभ्यां सुग्रीवमिदमब्रवीत् ॥ ५-६६-२
Seeing the precious jewel, Rama's eyes were filled with tears. Overwhelmed with grief, he spoke to Sugriva. ॥ 5-66-2॥

taM tu dRSTvA maNizreSThaM rAghava zzokakarzitaH । netrAbhyAmazrupUrNAbhyAM sugrIvamidamabravIt ॥ 5-66-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथैव धेनु स्स्रवति स्नेहाद्वत्सस्य वत्सला । तथा ममापि हृदयं मणिरत्नस्य दर्शनात् ॥ ५-६६-३
"Just as a cow fond of its calf begins to distil milk from its teats at the sight of the calf, so does my heart melt at the sight of this excellent jewel. ॥ 5-66-3॥

yathaiva dhenu ssravati snehAdvatsasya vatsalA । tathA mamApi hRdayaM maNiratnasya darzanAt ॥ 5-66-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमणिरत्नमिदं दत्तं वैदेह्याश्श्वशुरेण मे । वधूकाले यथाबद्धमधिकं मूर्ध्नि शोभते ॥ ५-६६-४
"At the time of marriage, this jewel was presented by my father-in-law. Vaidehi wore it on her forehead and it looked charming. ॥ 5-66-4॥

maNiratnamidaM dattaM vaidehyAzzvazureNa me । vadhUkAle yathAbaddhamadhikaM mUrdhni zobhate ॥ 5-66-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअयं हि जलसम्भूतो मणिस्सज्जनपूजितः । यज्ञे परमतुष्टेन दत्तश्शक्रेण धीमता ॥ ५-६६-५
"This was found in water and was bestowed by Indra out of great joy on Janaka who had performed a grand sacrificial ceremony. So it was worshipped by elders of the family. ॥ 5-66-5॥
