अपरे वृक्षमूले तु शाखां गृह्य व्यवस्थिताः । अत्यर्थं च मदग्लानाः पर्णान्यास्तीर्य शेरते ॥ ५-६२-११
Some took branches of trees and rested at the root of trees. Some totally languid lay down spreading leaves due to drinking of sweet drinks. ॥ 5-62-11॥

apare vRkSamUle tu zAkhAM gRhya vyavasthitAH । atyarthaM ca madaglAnAH parNAnyAstIrya zerate ॥ 5-62-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउन्मत्तभूताः प्लवगा मधुमत्ताश्च हृष्टवत् । क्षिपन्ति च तथान्योन्यं स्खलन्ति च तथाऽपरे ॥ ५-६२-१२
Intoxicated with drink, some behaved like mad people, some pushed others senselessly and some were unsteady and shaky. ॥ 5-62-12॥

unmattabhUtAH plavagA madhumattAzca hRSTavat । kSipanti ca tathAnyonyaM skhalanti ca tathA'pare ॥ 5-62-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकेचित् क्ष्वेलां प्रकुर्वन्ति केचित् कूजन्ति हृष्टवत् । हरयोमधुना मत्ताः केचित्सुप्ता महीतले ॥ ५-६२-१३
Some roared, some warbled happily, some felt drowsy, drinking honey and some dropped off to sleep on the ground. ॥ 5-62-13॥

kecit kSvelAM prakurvanti kecit kUjanti hRSTavat । harayomadhunA mattAH kecitsuptA mahItale ॥ 5-62-13
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृत्वा केचिद्धसन्त्यन्ये केचित्कुर्वन्ति चेतरत् । कृत्वा केचिद्वदन्त्यन्ये केचिद्बुध्यन्ति चेतरत् ॥ ५-६२-१४
Some made others laugh, some provoked others and some thought of doing something else having got over the intoxication. ॥ 5-62-14॥

kRtvA keciddhasantyanye kecitkurvanti cetarat । kRtvA kecidvadantyanye kecidbudhyanti cetarat ॥ 5-62-14

All the guards engaged in protecting the garden were driven away in all directions by the fierce vanaras. ॥ 5-62-15॥
