रक्षसां कामरूपत्वान्मेने तं राक्षसाधिपम् । एतां बुद्धिं तदा कृत्वा सीता सा तनुमध्यमा ॥ ५-३४-२६
- thought that he (Hanuman) was none other than the king of demons who can assume any form at will. Having entertained such thoughts, Sita, the lady with a fairwaist - ॥ 5-34-26॥

rakSasAM kAmarUpatvAnmene taM rAkSasAdhipam । etAM buddhiM tadA kRtvA sItA sA tanumadhyamA ॥ 5-34-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन प्रतिव्याजहाराथ वानरं जनकात्मजा । सीतायाश्चिन्तितं बुद्ध्वा हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः ॥ ५-३४-२७
- daughter of Janaka, did not respond to the vanara. Hanuman, son of the Windgod understood what was going on in Sita's mind . - ॥ 5-34-27॥

na prativyAjahArAtha vAnaraM janakAtmajA । sItAyAzcintitaM buddhvA hanumAnmArutAtmajaH ॥ 5-34-27
hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्रोत्रानुकूलैर्वचनैस्तदा तां संप्रहर्षयत् । आदित्य इव तेजस्वी लोककान्तः शशी यथा ॥ ५-३४-२८
- and spoke pleasing words that brought joy in her 'Glorious as the Sun, brings delight to the whole world like the Moon - ॥ 5-34-28॥

zrotrAnukUlairvacanaistadA tAM saMpraharSayat । Aditya iva tejasvI lokakAntaH zazI yathA ॥ 5-34-28
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराजा सर्वस्य लोकस्य देवो वैश्रवणो यथा । विक्रमेणोपपन्नश्च यथा विष्णुर्महायशाः ॥ ५-३४-२९
- Rama is the king of kings like Vaishravana, and renowned like Vishnu endowed with valour. ॥ 5-34-29॥

rAjA sarvasya lokasya devo vaizravaNo yathA । vikrameNopapannazca yathA viSNurmahAyazAH ॥ 5-34-29
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्यवादी मधुरवाग्देवो वाचस्पतिर्यथा । रूपवान्सुभग श्रीमान् कन्दर्प इव मूर्तिमान् ॥ ५-३४-३०
'He is truthful in speech like Brihaspati, prosperous (like Kubera), sweet-tongued, handsome, graceful like Kamadeva. ॥ 5-34-30॥

satyavAdI madhuravAgdevo vAcaspatiryathA । rUpavAnsubhaga zrImAn kandarpa iva mUrtimAn ॥ 5-34-30
