विवर्णया कृपणया मानुष्या राक्षसेश्वर । नूनमस्या महाराज न दिव्यान् भोगसत्तमान् ॥ ५-२२-४१
- who is pale and wretched ? O king of demons, (she is) a human being after all. O king surely, wonderful best luxuries are not . - ॥ 5-22-41॥
english translation
vivarNayA kRpaNayA mAnuSyA rAkSasezvara । nUnamasyA mahArAja na divyAn bhogasattamAn ॥ 5-22-41
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविदधात्यमरश्रेष्ठस्तव बाहुबलार्जितान् । अकामां कामयानस्य शरीरमुपतप्यते ॥ ५-२२-४२
- ordained to her (Sita) to enjoy, by Brahma, the foremost among the immortals, earned by the strength of your arms. The body of one who desires a woman without desire suffers pain. ॥ 5-22-42॥
english translation
vidadhAtyamarazreSThastava bAhubalArjitAn । akAmAM kAmayAnasya zarIramupatapyate ॥ 5-22-42
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइच्छन्तीं कामयानस्य प्रीतिर्भवति शोभना । एवमुक्तस्तु राक्षस्या समुत्क्षिप्तस्ततो बली ॥ ५-२२-४३
'Good happiness will occur to one who loves a woman who desires him.' Thus spoken to by that ogre and thereafter being taken away that powerful . - ॥ 5-22-43॥
english translation
icchantIM kAmayAnasya prItirbhavati zobhanA । evamuktastu rAkSasyA samutkSiptastato balI ॥ 5-22-43
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रहसन्मेघसङ्काशो राक्षसः स न्यवर्तत । प्रस्थितः स दशग्रीवः कम्पयन्निव मेदिनीम् । ज्वलद्भास्करवर्णाभं प्रविवेश निवेशनम् ॥ ५-२२-४४
- demon king who resembled a fierce dark cloud turned away, laughing heartily. Thereupon the ten-necked demon departed, as if he was shaking the earth and entered his residence which was shining like the blazing midday Sun. ॥ 5-22-44॥

prahasanmeghasaGkAzo rAkSasaH sa nyavartata । prasthitaH sa dazagrIvaH kampayanniva medinIm । jvaladbhAskaravarNAbhaM praviveza nivezanam ॥ 5-22-44
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवगन्धर्वकन्याश्च नागकन्याश्च सर्वतः । परिवार्य दशग्रीवं विविशुस्तं गृहोत्तमम् ॥ ५-२२-४५
Then the daughters of gods, gandharvas and nagas gathered round and followed him into his excellent palace. ॥ 5-22-45॥
