कुमाराश्च महात्मानो वीर्येणाप्रतिमा भुवि । कृतदारा: कृतास्त्राश्च सधना: ससुहृज्जना: ॥ १-७७-१६
All the princes who were best of men, great souls, incomparable in prowess on earth, capable of the use of weapons and endowed with wealth, together with friends - ॥ 1-77-16॥

kumArAzca mahAtmAno vIryeNApratimA bhuvi । kRtadArA: kRtAstrAzca sadhanA: sasuhRjjanA: ॥ 1-77-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशुश्रूषमाणा: पितरं वर्तयन्ति नरर्षभा:। कस्यचित्त्वथ कालस्य राजा दशरथ: सुतम् ॥ १-७७-१७
- were moving on their way, serving their father and following his commands. Then after sometime the king Dasharatha ( to son ) - ॥ 1-77-17॥

zuzrUSamANA: pitaraM vartayanti nararSabhA:। kasyacittvatha kAlasya rAjA dazaratha: sutam ॥ 1-77-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभरतं कैकयीपुत्र मब्रवीद्रघुनन्दन: । अयं केकयराजस्य पुत्रो वसति पुत्रक ॥ १-७७-१८
- the legatee of Raghu-s, spoke to his and Kaikeyi's son, Bharata. Oh ! child, this son of the king of Kekaya, has come here . - ॥ 1-77-18॥

bharataM kaikayIputra mabravIdraghunandana: । ayaM kekayarAjasya putro vasati putraka ॥ 1-77-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्वां नेतुमागतो वीर युधाजिन्मातुलस्तव । प्रार्थितस्तेन धर्मज्ञ मिधिलायामहं तथा ॥ १-७७-१९
- the heroic Yudhajit, your maternal uncle wishes to take you with him. Oh ! Knower of dharma this was his request to me in Mithila . - ॥ 1-77-19॥

tvAM netumAgato vIra yudhAjinmAtulastava । prArthitastena dharmajJa midhilAyAmahaM tathA ॥ 1-77-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋषिमध्ये तु तस्य त्वं प्रीतिं कर्तुमिहार्हसि । श्रुत्वा दशरथस्यैतद्भरत: कैकयीसुत: ॥ १-७७-२०
- in the midst of sages. You should bring him delight (by obliging him). Having heard the words of Dasharatha, Bharata, son of Kaikeyi . - ॥ 1-77-20॥

RSimadhye tu tasya tvaM prItiM kartumihArhasi । zrutvA dazarathasyaitadbharata: kaikayIsuta: ॥ 1-77-20
