तं दृष्ट्वा भीमसंकाशं ज्वलंतमिव पावकम् । वसिष्ठप्रमुखा विप्रा जपहोमपरायणाः ॥ १-७४-२१
At the sight of the fearful appearance of Parashurama looking like flaming fire, Vasishtha and brahman-s who were in the habit of chanting mantras and offering oblations to the fire - ॥ 1-74-21॥
