सह सर्वैर्द्विजश्रेष्ठैर्देवैरिव शतक्रतुः । दिष्ट्या मे निर्जिता विघ्ना दिष्ट्या मे पूजितं कुलम् ॥ १-६९-११

- surrounded by the foremost of brahmins like Indra by the gods. By the grace of god, I have overcome all impediments. By the grace of God my lineage has been honoured . - ॥ 1-69-11॥

saha sarvairdvijazreSThairdevairiva zatakratuH । diSTyA me nirjitA vighnA diSTyA me pUjitaM kulam ॥ 1-69-11

राघवैः सह संबंधाद्वीर्यश्रेष्ठैर्महात्मभिः । श्वः प्रभाते नरेन्द्र त्वम् सम्वर्तयितुमर्हसि ॥ १-६९-१२

- through alliance with the house of the great souled Raghus distinguished by their valour. Oh ! Best of kings ( the Indra of Indra-like kings on earth ), tomorrow at dawn, it is apt of you to perform after . - ॥ 1-69-12॥

rAghavaiH saha saMbaMdhAdvIryazreSThairmahAtmabhiH । zvaH prabhAte narendra tvam samvartayitumarhasi ॥ 1-69-12

यज्ञस्यान्ते नरश्रेष्ठ विवाहमृषिसत्तमैः । तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा ऋषिमध्ये नराधिपः ॥ १-६९-१३

- oh ! Foremost of men, the marriage with approval by the sages after the completion of the sacrifice.' At these words ( on hearing that sentence of king Janaka ), in the midst of sages, king ( Dasharatha ) . - ॥ 1-69-13॥

yajJasyAnte narazreSTha vivAhamRSisattamaiH । tasya tadvacanaM zrutvA RSimadhye narAdhipaH ॥ 1-69-13

वाक्यं वाक्यविदां श्रेष्ठः प्रत्युवाच महीपतिम् । प्रतिग्रहो दातृवशः श्रुतमेतन्मया पुरा ॥ १-६९-१४

- the most eloquent one made his reply. 'Recipiency rests with the restitutor .' so I have heard earlier. ॥ 1-69-14॥

vAkyaM vAkyavidAM zreSThaH pratyuvAca mahIpatim । pratigraho dAtRvazaH zrutametanmayA purA ॥ 1-69-14

यथा वक्ष्यसि धर्मज्ञ तत् करिष्यामहे वयम् । तद्धर्मिष्ठं यशस्यं च वचनं सत्यवादिनः ॥ १-६९-१५

Oh ! Knower of righteousness, so we will act upon your word ( for you are the knower of probity and nothing goes amiss in your astute thinking ).' The sentence of that affirmer of principles ( King Dasharatha ), which was righteous and agreeable to glory - ॥ 1-69-15॥

yathA vakSyasi dharmajJa tat kariSyAmahe vayam । taddharmiSThaM yazasyaM ca vacanaM satyavAdinaH ॥ 1-69-15
