वचनाच्च नरेन्द्रस्य सेना च चतुरंगिणी । राजानमृषिभिः सार्धं व्रजंतं पृष्ठतोऽन्वगात् ॥ १-६९-६
At the command of the king the four divisions of the army followed them, while the Indra among kings (Dasaratha) proceeded with the sages. ॥ 1-69-6॥

vacanAcca narendrasya senA ca caturaMgiNI । rAjAnamRSibhiH sArdhaM vrajaMtaM pRSThato'nvagAt ॥ 1-69-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगत्वा चतुरहं मार्गं विदेहानभ्युपेयिवान् । राजा तु जनकः श्रीमान् श्रुत्वा पूजामकल्पयत् ॥ १-६९-७
Travelling on a four-day-route they reached the fringes of Videha kingdom, and on hearing this, the illustrious king Janaka arranged for welcome ceremonies. ॥ 1-69-7॥

gatvA caturahaM mArgaM videhAnabhyupeyivAn । rAjA tu janakaH zrImAn zrutvA pUjAmakalpayat ॥ 1-69-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो राजानमासाद्य वृद्धं दशरथं नृपम् । जनको मुदितो राजा हर्षं च परमं ययौ ॥ १-६९-८
King Janaka approached the aged ruler of men, Dasaratha, and experienced great delight. ॥ 1-69-8॥

tato rAjAnamAsAdya vRddhaM dazarathaM nRpam । janako mudito rAjA harSaM ca paramaM yayau ॥ 1-69-8

Filled with joy the best of men (Janaka) addreseed the best of men Dasaratha: "O Descendant of the Raghus, O Great king welcome I am fortunate to have you - ॥ 1-69-9॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुत्रयोरुभयोः प्रीतिं लप्स्यसे वीर्यनिर्जिताम् । दिष्ट्या प्राप्तो महातेजा वसिष्ठो भगवानृषिः ॥ १-६९-१०
- you will experience the pleasure of both your sons having won the reward for their prowess. By the grace of God, most brilliant and godly sage Vashishta has also arrived here . - ॥ 1-69-10॥
