उक्तवाक्यं तु राजानं कृपया कुशिकात्मजः । अब्रवीन्मधुरं वाक्यं साक्षाच्चण्डालतां गतम् ॥ १-५९-१
What the king said was proved by his chandala form which the son of Kushika (Vishvaamitra) heard and out of compassion spoke these sweet words ॥ 1-59-1॥
english translation
uktavAkyaM tu rAjAnaM kRpayA kuzikAtmajaH । abravInmadhuraM vAkyaM sAkSAccaNDAlatAM gatam ॥ 1-59-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइक्ष्वाको स्वागतं वत्स जानामि त्वां सुधार्मिकम् । शरणं ते भविष्यामि मा भैषीर्नृपपुंगव ॥ १-५९-२
- 'Oh ! Descendant of Ikshvakus, Oh ! child, welcome. I know you as highly righteous. O eminent among kings fear not. I offer you refuge. - ॥ 1-59-2॥
english translation
ikSvAko svAgataM vatsa jAnAmi tvAM sudhArmikam । zaraNaM te bhaviSyAmi mA bhaiSIrnRpapuMgava ॥ 1-59-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहमामंत्रये सर्वान् महर्षीन् पुण्यकर्मणः । यज्ञसाह्यकरान् राजंस्ततो यक्ष्यसि निर्वृतः ॥ १-५९-३
- I will invite all the sages with pious activities who will render assistance in the ritual, oh ! king, then you can perform the ritual self-composedly. - ॥ 1-59-3॥
english translation
ahamAmaMtraye sarvAn maharSIn puNyakarmaNaH । yajJasAhyakarAn rAjaMstato yakSyasi nirvRtaH ॥ 1-59-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगुरुशापकृतं रूपं यदिदं त्वयि वर्तते । अनेन सह रूपेण सशरीरो गमिष्यसि ॥ १-५९-४
- With the present new physical body changed by the curse of your spiritual preceptor, you shall go to heaven. - ॥ 1-59-4॥
english translation
guruzApakRtaM rUpaM yadidaM tvayi vartate । anena saha rUpeNa sazarIro gamiSyasi ॥ 1-59-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहस्तप्राप्तमहं मन्ये स्वर्गं तव नरेश्वर । यस्त्वं कौशिकमागम्य शरण्यं शरणागतः ॥ १-५९-५
- O King since you have taken refuge in Viswamitra who is the protector of those who resort to him, I think heaven is already within your reach'. ॥ 1-59-5॥
english translation
hastaprAptamahaM manye svargaM tava narezvara । yastvaM kauzikamAgamya zaraNyaM zaraNAgataH ॥ 1-59-5
