अब्रवीत् स महात्मनः सर्वानेव कृतांजलिः । शरणं वः प्रपद्येऽहं शरण्यान् शरणागतः ॥ १-५७-१७

- and with folded palms, he addressed all those distinguished sons of Vasishta saying: 'I came as a shelter-seeker seeking the shelter of yours as you are the shelterers of the needy. - ॥ 1-57-18॥

abravIt sa mahAtmanaH sarvAneva kRtAMjaliH । zaraNaM vaH prapadye'haM zaraNyAn zaraNAgataH ॥ 1-57-17
