एवमुक्तो महातेजाः शमं चक्रे महातपाः । विश्वामित्रोऽपि निकृतो विनिःश्वस्येदमब्रवीत् ॥ १-५६-२२
When that great-resplendent Vashishtha was spoken thus by saints and gods he composed himself. And then humiliated Vishvaamitra heaved a sigh and spoke these words ( to himself ) [1-56-22]
