तथैवांशुमता वत्स लोकेऽप्रतिमतेजसा । गङ्गां प्रार्थयता नेतुं प्रतिज्ञा नापवर्जिता ॥ १-४४-९
- Like that, your grandfather Amshuman, who was unequalled in his resplendence in this world and who had been praying for the descent of Ganga, he also could not dispense with this vow on fulfilling it. - ॥ 1-44-9॥
