गंगामन्वगमन् प्रीताः सर्वे जलचराश्च ये । यतो भगीरथो राजा ततो गंगा यशस्विनी ॥ १-४३-३३
- after Ganga and also, all of the aquatic beings followed Ganga. In whichever direction king Bhageeratha advanced, the glorious River Ganga followed him. [1-43-33]
