शांतया प्रययौ सार्धमृष्यशृङ्गः सुपूजितः | अनुगम्यमानो राज्ञा च सानुयात्रेण धीमता || १-१८-६

Well adored by king Dasharatha sage Rishyasringa also travelled along with his wife Shanta, accompanied by the wise king and his followers upto some distance to set out for his country. [1-18-6]

When they (guests) all departed in this manner, Dasharatha with his desire fulfilled, his thought centred on begetting sons lived happily. [1-18-7]

Six seasons (one year) passed after the completion of the sacrifice. In the twelfth month of Chaitra on the ninth day (of the bright fortnight), when it is punarvasu-nakshatrayukta-navamI tithi, i.e., when the ruling star of that ninth day is punarvasu,.....- [1-18-8]

- Kaushalya gave birth to a son: namely Rama, a facet of Visnu, Lord of the entire universe who received obeisance from all the worlds and was adorned with all auspicious signs,.....- [1-18-10]
