[भीमस] धिग अस्तु मे बाहुबलं गाण्डीवं फल्गुनस्य च यत ते रक्तौ पुरा भूत्वा पाणी कृतकिणाव उभौ ॥ ४-२०-१ ॥
'Bhima said: “Fie upon the strength of my arms and the Gandiva bow of Falguni, for your hands, once stained red with henna, are now marked with corns."' ॥ 4-20-1 ॥

सभायां सम विराटस्य करॊमि कदनं महत तत्र मां धर्मराजस तु कटाक्षेण नयवारयत तद अहं तस्य विज्ञाय सथित एवास्मि भामिनि ॥ ४-२०-२ ॥
'Had it not been for the watchful gaze of Kunti’s son restraining me— like a mighty elephant held back—I would have unleashed havoc in Virata’s court. Without hesitation, I would have crushed the proud head of Kichaka, drunk on his own power.' ॥ 4-20-2 ॥
english translation
यच च राष्ट्रात परच्यवनं कुरूणाम अवधश च यः सुयॊधनस्य कर्णस्य शकुनेः सौबलस्य च ॥ ४-२०-३ ॥
'That we have lost our kingdom, that I have not yet slain the Kurus, that I have not yet severed the heads of Suyodhana, Karna, Suvala’s son Shakuni, and the vile Duhsasana— these unfulfilled deeds, O lady, gnaw at every fiber of my being.' ॥ 4-20-3 ॥

दुःशासनस्य पापस्य यन मया न हृतं शिरः तन मे दहति कल्याणि हृदि शल्यम इवार्पितम मा धर्मं जहि सुश्रॊणि करॊधं जहि महामते ॥ ४-२०-४ ॥
'The head of that wicked Duhsasana, which I have yet to sever, burns in my virtuous heart like a spear deeply lodged. O virtuous one, do not abandon righteousness, nor forsake anger, O wise one, for both are needed in this righteous cause.' ॥ 4-20-4 ॥

इमं च समुपालम्भं तवत्तॊ राजा युधिष्ठिरः शृणुयाद यदि कल्याणि कृत्स्नं जह्यात स जीवितम ॥ ४-२०-५ ॥
'If King Yudhishthira hears such harsh words from you, he will surely lose the will to live. If Dhananjaya and the twins also hear you speak thus, even they might renounce their lives. And if they abandon life, O slender-waisted maiden, I too shall find my own existence unbearable.' ॥ 4-20-5 ॥
