[वै] सा कीर्तयन्ती दुःखानि भीमसेनस्य भामिनी रुरॊद शनकैः कृष्णा भीमसेनम उदीक्षती ॥ ४-१९-२६ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, “Then Vrikodara, the slayer of hostile heroes, veiled his face with the delicate, corned hands of his beloved wife and began to weep."' ॥ 4-19-26 ॥
english translation
[vai] sA kIrtayantI duHkhAni bhImasenasya bhAminI ruròda zanakaiH kRSNA bhImasenama udIkSatI ॥ 4-19-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा बाष्पकलया वाचा निःश्वसन्ती पुनः पुनः हृदयं भीमसेनस्य घट्टयन्तीदम अब्रवीत ॥ ४-१९-२७ ॥
'She, sighing repeatedly and speaking through tears, pierced the heart of Bhimasena deeply with these words.' ॥ 4-19-27 ॥

sA bASpakalayA vAcA niHzvasantI punaH punaH hRdayaM bhImasenasya ghaTTayantIdama abravIta ॥ 4-19-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनाल्पं कृतं मया भीम देवानां किल्बिषं पुरा अभाग्या यत तु जीवामि मर्तव्ये सति पाण्डव ॥ ४-१९-२८ ॥
'O Bhima, I have committed no slight offence against the gods in the past; yet, alas, I live now in misfortune, though I am a wife of the Pandavas.' ॥ 4-19-28 ॥

nAlpaM kRtaM mayA bhIma devAnAM kilbiSaM purA abhAgyA yata tu jIvAmi martavye sati pANDava ॥ 4-19-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस तस्याः करौ शूनौ किणबद्धौ वृकॊदरः मुखम आनीय वेपन्त्या रुरॊद परवीर हा ॥ ४-१९-२९ ॥
'Then, clasping her empty hands, Vrikodara (Bhima), trembling, brought her face close and wept aloud, that great hero.' ॥ 4-19-29 ॥

tatasa tasyAH karau zUnau kiNabaddhau vRkòdaraH mukhama AnIya vepantyA ruròda paravIra hA ॥ 4-19-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतौ गृहीत्वा च कौन्तेयॊ बाष्पम उत्सृज्य वीर्यवान ततः परमदुःखार्त इदं वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ४-१९-३० ॥
'Grasping those hands, O son of Kunti, the mighty Bhima let fall his tears, and then, overwhelmed with the deepest sorrow, spoke these words.' ॥ 4-19-30 ॥
