Then Janārdana, hearing that vow and that compact with a pleased mind, stood firm in what was dear to the best of the Kurus, and again mounted the chariot together with its wheel.

english translation

Taking up the reins again and grasping the conch, Śauri—the subduer of adversaries—then filled the directions with sound by the roar of Pāñcajanya.

english translation

Seeing him with his gold ornaments, armlets, and earrings in motion, his eyes dust-strewn and his lashes distinct, his teeth bright, and the conch held in hand, the Kuru champions cried out.

english translation

Then, throughout all the Kuru divisions, there arose fierce sounds—of mṛdaṅgas, bhērīs, and paṭahas, the rumble of chariot-wheels, the resonance of dundubhis, and lion-like shouts.

english translation

The roar of Pārtha’s Gāṇḍīva, like thunder, spread through the sky and to every direction. And the arrows—clear and true-aimed—released from the Pāṇḍava’s bow sped into every quarter.
