Arjuna said: Having seen your gentle human form, O Janārdana, I am now restored; my mind is clear, and I have returned to my natural state.

The Blessed Lord said: This form of Mine which you have seen is exceedingly difficult to behold. Even the gods continually long for the sight of this form.

Not by the Vedas, nor by austerity, nor by gifts, nor by ritual sacrifice can I be seen in this form, as you have seen Me.

english translation

But by exclusive devotion I, in this form, can be known, truly seen, and also entered into, O Arjuna, scorcher of foes.

english translation

One who acts for My sake, who takes Me as the supreme goal, who is devoted to Me, free from attachment, and without hostility toward any being—he comes to Me, O Pāṇḍava.
