Having restrained them all, one should remain disciplined in yoga and devoted to Me; for the one whose senses are under control, his discernment is firmly established.

english translation

For a person who repeatedly contemplates sense-objects, attachment to them arises; from attachment desire is produced; from desire anger is generated.

english translation

From anger arises delusion; from delusion comes disturbance of memory; from loss of memory follows the destruction of discernment; and from the destruction of discernment one comes to ruin.

english translation

But one who moves among sense-objects with senses free from attraction and aversion, self-governed and disciplined, attains clarity and serenity (prasāda).

english translation

In serenity, the cessation of all sufferings arises for him; for when the mind is clear and composed, discernment quickly becomes steady.
